Many procedures are available to treat the stiffness, pain and weakness that can occur with arthritic conditions in the wrist.
RSI- Repetitive Strain injury
I believe that the diagnoses of RSI is not appropriate and may actually lead the patient to believe that he or she has a chronic condition rather than the ordinary aches and pains of life. Other treatable chronic conditions (e.g. tendonopathy and carpal tunnel syndrome) should be thoroughly investigated and the term RSI is best avoided.
The American Hand Society, British Hand Society or medico legal profession does not recognize the condition. Class4 Laser therapy and Botox are showing great success in some rare chronic and unexplainable conditions. Postural and ergonomic assessment can also be of great benefit.
